Feel free to suggest a genre to be listed in categories.
We may not have listed on e yet, or if one may be too vague, etc...
We don't really need 101 genres/subgenres listed, that would take way too much screen space. But there are times when the field needs to be narrowed down.

I read a lot of Thriller / Crime books. A section for that genre would be helpful as I could discover new authors.
A section entitled " I'd recommend this book " would also broaden our horizons.

Well, the categories of discussion are being used for recommendations in those genres. Feel free to peruse the books listed and some yourself.
I see there are two types of posts in the area of recommendation, one, the Official review, which is documented in News and Notes here, which explores a particular book or story in great detail, may reveal storyline and plot direction so readers be warned, Reviews will be marked as Reviews so as to allow someone to read for themselves. Then we have the "honorable mention" posting, which is just tossing out the name of a book or story and some tidbits about the type of book and how much you enjoyed or didn't enjoy it.
One can say that Crime and thrillers are a sub-genre of Mystery, but, there is enough proliferation of the type that we will definitely add that as a category.
