There are so many sub-genres of Horror to talk about.

Vampires, ghosts, Zombies, Witches, Haunting, Demons/possession, etc...

my personal favorites, the ones that might have the best chance to get my attention are zombies and demonic/possession.

Vampires are alright, but the modern literary bunch has really taken the edge away from the vampire,trying to humanize it or something.

Zombies however, mindless undead, feasting on living flesh with no real consciousness, just a husk, a shell of what they were in life. That has potential.
